Happy Photo Friday all! As the Summer winds down and into Fall, we hope you’ve all had some time to relax and unwind. Photo Retro has just received some CatLabs X Film Color print film in 120 size. According to the CatLabs website, this film is sharp, has soft tones and a vivid color palette. It’s priced at $18 per roll so, if you want to try some in your medium-format camera, come on down this weekend and pick up a roll.

We recently took in this magnificent Hasselblad 500 C/M with a lovely 80mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss T* lens on consignment. Tested it with film and it works great. It comes with the waist-level finder, A12 film back and front lens cap. We just received this beautiful Minolta X-700 film camera with a clean and clear 50mm f1.7 lens. If you’re looking for a very small, capable 35 mm film camera consider this Asahi Pentax ME Super. It’s just back from a complete service so the shutter speeds are all accurate, the light meter works fine and everything is in good shape. We hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. We’ve got two new films at Photo Retro. We have we brought back Kodak Ektar 100, which is known for its high saturation, fine grain and great sharpness. It’s priced at $17 per 36-exposure roll. We also have Harmon Phoenix II, a film produced by the great folks who give us Ilford black-and-white films. It’s moderately-saturated fine grain color film at 200 ISO. It’s priced at $12.50 for a 36-exposure roll. Come on down this weekend and pick up a roll two.

Happy weekend all! Photo Retro has two new films from Lucky Film in China—Color 200 and SHD 100 Black and White with 36 exposures per roll. The color film has nice saturation and sharpness, the black and white features fine grain and nice contrast. The color film is $12 per roll, the black and white is $8 per roll so come on down and check them out.

SOLD! If you’re looking for a big, solid medium format camera you can’t go wrong with this Asahi Pentax 6x7 with 55mm f3.5 lens and metering prism. Tested it with film and the images were sharp and contrasty. The shutter works great, the lens is clean and clear and the meter is accurate. The 55mm lens is equivalent to a 28mm in 35mm format and focuses very closely so it gives you lots of possibilities.
