Tell me your thoughts. I'll expand a little bit here. It does seem that many people, not all, are doing everything a little more last minute. I'm sure the economy has a lot to do with it. We're not planning vacations out as far or home projects and even things like weddings because we don't trust that we'll be able to afford those commitments 6 months to a year from now. I also think the mentality of long term planning shifted with Covid and that has lingered. Weddings used to be planned 18 months to 2 years out. Now I have one wedding booked for 2027 and I'm still getting inquiries for this fall.
Are we seeing this in industires across the board. Those of you with vacation rentals, with small service businesses, in the loan industry, are you seeing this too?
Or do you think it's a generational thing that the younger generation just doesn't want to have commitments either time or financially far ahead into the future? I don't necessarily think it's good or bad, it's just a shift that does make it a bit harder to predict what is going to be happening 6 months down the road, particularly if you have a small business.
So what are your thoughts in general on it and when it comes to photography? If you need senior photos done this summer have you started thinking about it? If you're engaged, how far out are you actually choosing a day and booking vendors? And are you surprised when a senior photographer is booked for the next two months or a wedding photographer isn't available in 6 months?
