Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself just how far I’ve come. 🤍📸
What started as simply taking pictures has grown into something I’m genuinely so proud of. To see one of my photographs being used by a local business on their postcards is such an incredible feeling. It may seem like a small thing to some, but to me, it’s a reminder of how much I’ve grown, how much work I’ve put into my photography, and how meaningful this little passion of mine has become.
Photography has never just been about taking a pretty picture for me. It’s about freezing a moment in time—capturing the people, places, milestones, and memories that may one day mean even more than they do today. Knowing that the families, couples, seniors, children, and individuals I photograph will have those memories to look back on for years to come is what makes this so special to me. 🤍
So yes, I’m incredibly proud to see my work being shared and used in my community. But I’ll also be honest and say that I was a little disappointed to see my photograph used without my name or photography business being credited. As a small photographer, every bit of recognition matters. Behind every image is time, creativity, equipment, editing, and a whole lot of heart.
I don’t share this out of anger, but because I’m proud of the work I’ve created and I believe artists deserve to be recognized for what they create.
Here’s to continuing to grow, continuing to capture memories, and continuing to see where this little camera of mine takes me. 🥹📸🤍
