Images from Friday night's "Cherry Cherry" performance at Seafarers' Memorial Park. Another of the Port of Anacortes Summer Concert series. Neil Diamond tribute band led by Steve Kelly, an excellent vocalist and performer. He loves to get the crowd involved. On this evening he also welcomed to the stage two teen musicians and a female vocalist for a duet. His closing words were: "Maybe next year we can get more time ..."

Ebb, Slack and Flood (photos) was one of seven bands performing today at Causland Memorial Park on the same day as the Shipwreck Fest. There were also two solo performers. Anacortes was hoppin' on this sun-splashed July day. Once again the Shipwreck Fest "garage sale extraordinaire" brought thousands to downtown Anacortes. Just a couple of blocks away music filled the air at a Causland Memorial Park event hosted by the Anacortes Music Project. Then of course there was the Anacortes Farmers Market ... no shortage of options on a summer weekend in Anacortes.

Shipwreck Day 2004 and 2006. This annual event, a garage sale with a maritime twist, still draws thousands in search of treasure. Check out downtown Anacortes tomorrow for the 2026 edition, now billed as "Shipwreck Fest Flea Market. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organized by the Fidalgo Island Rotary Club.
