Once upon a time, our Christmas tree looked like it belonged in a magazine. Perfectly coordinated ornaments, matching gift wrap, not a paper snowflake in sight.

Now it’s a beautiful little hodgepodge of handmade crafts, family photos, and tiny memories collected year after year. And honestly, my heart has never loved our tree more.

This year, my three year old accidentally broke two of our “designer” ornaments. She burst into tears, thinking she ruined something special. I scooped her up, wiped her cheeks and told her gently, “it’s just stuff. It’s ok.” And it truly was. In that moment, I could feel the shift between the life we used to have and the life we’re living now… messy, magical, and fleeting.

We ended the night in matching pajamas with hot cocoa in hand, watching a Christmas movie while we camped out together in the living room. A new family tradition was born, and when my oldest said she hopes it never ends, my heart quietly whispered, “Me too.”

Our tree may no longer look “perfect” but somehow, it has never felt more like us.

Have you started any new traditions this year? Or have an old one you’d love to share? Let me know in the comments, I’m a nerd for this stuff….

The luxury of a full or half day branding session? ✨

The ease of getting multiple looks at different locations to showcase the different sides of yourself & your brand!

This trio of incredible women rocked BOTH looks, but I’d love to hear which one you love in the comments!

When you’ll do anything for the shot 😂✈️

Disclaimer: this was definitely .esti.christal’s idea and she wasn’t hurt in the process 🤣

Swipe through the receipts 🧾

Being a Photographer and business owner is 30% art, 70% betrayal and joint pain.

Let me know which one hit home:
💔 The bouquet toss betrayal?
💔 Math?
💔Natural deodorant thinking it could hang?

Also filing lawsuits (in my mind) against:
- Every guest who thinks their iPhone 10 needs a front row seat.
- The client who loved their gallery and then disappeared like a ghost with commitment issues
- My brain at 2am inventing 47 new business ideas when I just want to sleep…

Unzipped lunchboxes. Bounce houses. DJs with no survival instincts. This industry is not for the emotionally fragile.

Tag a friend who has also been personally victimized by anyone in my list… or by themselves 😜 ✌🏻

Hi there 👋🏻 I’m in the process of merging accounts so I figured it was time for a new introduction post…

This photo is from last week in Pennsylvania. I went to celebrate the life of one of my dear Aunts. It’s not often I get to be in a room with these people, in fact one of them - I met for the first time in person that day… and they’re all my cousins. There are about 13 others from that side who are missing from the photo (21 total if I did the math correctly). All first cousins from my dad’s side.

On my Moms side there are 18 first cousins. So it’s safe to say I come from a large family. It’s something I’ve always been extremely proud of. I grew up with my Moms side locally. Only 4 of my cousins from my Dads side live near us, but I am connected to both sides regardless (whether they like it, or want to claim me or not 🤪).

I have always felt so fortunate to grow up with such a close knit family all around me. I fit right in with this crazy bunch and I love our 60+ person holiday dinners.

Although I may not fit quite as neatly on the other side because I didn’t grow up with them - I still feel so grateful for the opportunities I do get with them.

Fun fact: both sides love wine as much as I do. So… I guess it’s genetic no matter how you spin it 😄

Fun fact #2: my cousin Kim got a canon rebel right before I arrived and I got to teach her some fun tricks. She took this photo of us from live shoot mode. I’m so proud of her!!!

Family and togetherness is one of the core pillars of my life and my business. What are yours? 💗
