📸 LAST CHANCE TO BOOK Eklutna Lake Minis! 📸

The countdown is on! Eklutna Lake Minis are this Friday, June 6th, and I still have a few spots available.

If you've been thinking about updating family photos, celebrating a graduate, documenting a growing bump, grabbing a few photos with your favorite person, or finally getting everyone in front of the camera at the same time, this is your sign. 😊

Eklutna is one of my favorite Alaska locations with gorgeous mountain views, beautiful water, and enough scenery to make us all forget the mosquitoes exist for 20 minutes.

This has been a photoshoot I've wanted to do for a long time.

One of the questions I get asked a lot is, "Since you're a photographer, do you take a lot of pictures of your husband?"

The simple answer is... not really. 😂

He's never been a huge fan of being in front of the camera and usually preferred making silly faces instead of giving me a serious shot. Every now and then he'd "model" for me when I was scouting a new location or testing a setup, but I've never really done a session that was focused on him.

Well, that finally changed.

With the launch of his new DJ business, Summit Sounds Alaska, he came to me and said, "Babe, I think I need some new headshots and photos... can we go?"

I don't think he even finished the sentence before I was grabbing my camera bag. 🤣

So he got ready, we loaded up the gear, and headed out for a little photoshoot date. He had a few locations in mind, and honestly, getting to explore together while creating content for his new business made this one extra special.

Meet DJ Summit, the face behind Summit Sounds Alaska . 🎧

I'm pretty proud of how these turned out. Not only because the photos look great, but because they capture a side of him I don't get to photograph very often. Seeing him excited about this new adventure and trusting me to help bring his vision to life made this session one I'll remember for a long time.

Now excuse me while I spend the next few weeks reminding him that he actually takes pretty good pictures. 😏📸

This is such a gorgeous location and one I absolutely love sharing with clients, a peaceful lake tucked into the woods with trails, amazing wild life, and all the Alaska summer greenery finally making its comeback after winter.

These shorter sessions are perfect. They’re quick, relaxed, and still give you those beautiful updated memories to hang onto.

great for busy families who want updated photos without committing to a full session.

There’s just something special about celebrating milestones and all the hard work, growth, and personality that got someone there. As a teacher, the little graduates especially have such a special place in my heart. Watching kids grow, learn, and become their own tiny humans all year long makes these sessions extra meaningful for me ❤️
Whether your graduate is heading off to kindergarten, middle school, high school, college, or just proudly surviving the school year without losing their backpack for too many days… they deserve to be celebrated 😉

THE WAIT IS OVER!!! Im officially opening my books for the season! ☀️📸

I know I’m getting started a little later than most photographers this year, but being a full time elementary STEM teacher tends to take over my life from August through May 😅 Now that summer is finally here, I’m excited to get back behind the camera and spend the next few months doing what I love most, capturing Alaska memories and hopefully funding my Redbull addiction and gas tank one session at a time.

I’m kicking off the season with mini sessions at two of my favorite locations:

• Eklutna Lake
• Little Campbell Lake

Want to lean into an Alaska vibe? Bring your fishing gear, waders, tackle box, or your “I swear it was THIS big” stories 😂 Fishing themed photos are absolutely welcome. Just make sure you have a valid fishing license or use a staged/hookless setup.

My regular full sessions are also officially open for booking this summer, though availability will be limited since I still want to enjoy at least a tiny bit of Alaska summer before we all end up back in snow season again ❄️
