Renee J North Photography

Renee J North Photography Photography that reminds you to love big and stay wild forever. In a world of passing fads and throw It's a vibe, a sense, a moment, an intention.

After telling many stories of the more sporting and adventurous variety, I realized the common thread of my work is people and the dynamic between them. Documenting weddings has come very natural to me, and I infuse my work with a truly authentic perspective. We all relate to human triumph, love, emotion and the raw experiences that bring those moments to light. I look for the essence of those sto

ries that make us what we are. I'm in it for the true blue, genuine, fly by the seat of your pants couples. I'm not going to try and make you look like you're stepping off the manicured and airbrushed pages of Vogue magazine - I believe real beauty is raw. Elegance is something that transcends the passage of time and the way you look. I want to capture THAT - the thing that's hard for everyone to put their finger on but is somehow compelling. I draw my inspiration the honesty of journalism and the moodiness of nature. I want your story to stand the test of time regardless of what the fashion of the day is. Together, we can make a visual legacy that will be treasured by you and your family for years to come.

I’m wrapping up a massive rebrand project in a few weeks and you’ll see this account become . It seems so small compared to the current COVID situation but it’s been in the works for a super LONG time and I need to put it out in the world instead of sitting on it for fear of the future. So I am going for it like I planned. 💪

Speaking of plans: Looking ahead to summer and all that’s to come. Our businesses, our perspectives, needs and maybe even health will all have changed by the time we hit 24 hours of daylight and the salmon are rushing up stream. But rest assured the salmon will run, the mountains will stay steady and strong, the rivers will flow and the world will keep turning while we find our way as we always do.

Btw one of the best backdrops for an intimate wedding in Alaska is right here ❤️

Bloomsbury Blooms gave me the honor of shooting these photos in her beautiful garden! This post is reviving my enthusiasm for summer. ❤️

I started this post days ago. It was an easy task to upload the beautiful photos from a styled shoot at the garden last August with Renee, but then I needed to think of a

Adventure time is going to look a lot different for all of us this summer.

🌺

If you know anything about adventures into the unknown physically or mentally - you know that it requires us to rise to the occasion and go beyond what we thought we were capable of, further than we wanted, and test ourselves against the elements of life. If you don’t know much about that, the coming months are going to ask that of us. We will learn - trial by fire. I guess I just want to thank all those who have already been thrust into the center of the pandemic to save people. Pretty soon it will be many people we know and love. This isn’t real to a lot of folks yet - but if you know and love a nurse, a doctor, a first responder or someone carrying the burden so the rest of us can comfortably Netflix and chill while we sort this thing out - you know what I mean. Once the pandemic reaches a fever pitch in our own hometowns I hope we can elevate to the task at hand and help one another the way Americans have done in the past. Stay well my friends and let’s let the damn politics go, pull ourselves up one by one and make something powerfully healing out of the days ahead.

A little color for your day 🌺. When every goal and sense of dependable forward progress has been put on hold and tossed into the unknown it’s an opportunity to regroup. Let go of control and let the circumstances of the day lead us to what we do best: Adapt and create.

If you could explore/elope/play anywhere in Alaska where would it be? I think for me it would be Katmai National park. Of all the places up here I’ve been - that’s one I’d love to check off the list.

Also, holy smokes, I have not shared nearly enough from this sweet little intimate fall wedding with and
