In July I got to photograph a surprise proposal! A real surprise! We did it!

Shasta reached out to me about the proposal and we found a date during their trip, of course she choose Eklutna Lake (I mean it’s beautiful I get it) but I came with the challenges of remoteness, no service, and isolation as I ended up awkwardly being the only other person at the lake trying to be sneaky!

After the initial shock was over we both asked if Zoey had any idea and they didn’t - we couldn’t believe we pulled it off! 🥹

We’re a little less than a month away from Vanstock | Vanlife Gathering - the BEST up and coming festival in Alaska. I’ll be there all weekend!

The team has spent their time, heart, and soul making this gathering the best it can be, last year I was blown away at the level of attentiveness and care that went into ensuring everyone had a good time. I got to meet tons of international travelers and party to some fantastic music!

Summer is here, our free time is gone, time to ride this wave of greenery and fun while we can!

I have a few sessions this summer of couples wanting a “do over” for wedding portraits and I think it’s a great idea! Getting all dressed up and heading out into the Alaskan landscape for some new portraits is an excellent way to have fun with them in a more relaxed environment and really get the images you envisioned!
