I have never posted a lot of personal details on this page, but it has been quiet for two years and so I think an update is appropriate.

In early 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. The path back from that dark place, both physically and emotionally, excluded me from picking up the camera more than a couple of times. The road ahead, as many things in life are, is still very unclear. However, I have reached a point in my recovery where I want to bring photography back into my life and share the moments I capture.

With that introduction, I would like to start with a picture the most amazing woman I know, my mother, Jeanne Abbott. This picture was taken aboard a Resurrection Bay boat tour shortly after the diagnosis when she flew up to offer her support.

Thank you, mom, for everything.
