Take the family photos — even if it’s not your thing, even if it seems impossible to get everyone together. Invite your favorite photographer over for something casual and let them capture your family authentically. Do the things that bring everyone together.
In this case, it was going up to Hatcher’s with the dogs, at the peak of fireweed season, smoking a j, laughing, and just being together.
This Mother’s Day hits different.
It’s been three weeks since the world was shaken in the most unfortunate way, and one of the thoughts that keeps replaying in my head is how fu***ng grateful I am that we got you and your family together to take these photos. That we made these memories and preserved them forever.
It’s wild how something that felt so casual at the time can end up meaning this much.
Now these photos live on the walls in the beautiful prints you ordered, and in the digital frame that never fails to have a photo of you on it.
Photos freeze the laughter, the love, the ordinary moments we never realize will someday mean everything.
Love and miss you Jeni. Sunday funday will forever be for you 🫶🏻
