Alright, my last post of sneaks for this session hit the goal so here is a little behind the scene for you.
For the record, when you book a session with me, you're not just paying for someone to show up with a camera or for a few edits afterward. You're hiring my vision. You're hiring someone who sees when your child reaches for your hand, or when your husband looks at you with "those" eyes instead of the camera, and when the real smiles happen in between the posed ones. I ask you to do ridiculous things because that's not what captures the moment, it's the after. The real laugh that follows.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. That you TRUST me to capture the best version of you. The best photos don't happen because of expensive equipmentβthey happen because of trust, connection, and someone who knows how to bring out genuine emotion.
Editing is the icing on the cake. It's where the light, color, and feeling of the moment all come together to look the way it felt in real life. It's where I can paint my canvas with endless color options. Where I add my touch to your photos. Many could edit similar to me, but no one could edit and see exactly as I see.
The "before" is what my camera saw. It's what I have learned after experience from many, many sessions of shooting. Of knowing how far to push my camera. Of knowing the light and how to use it right. We got to the shoot and I said "Nope, we're going to stand here and chat for 15 minutes because I want to wait til the sun is right *there*".
The "after" is what I saw while shooting your photos though. I can see what I'll edit as I'm taking your pictures. I see it in my head already. If I'm excited. You should be too ;)
Ted talk over,
