Hey friends! It’s been a while since I’ve posted! Life has been a whirlwind—moving to a new state, settling in with three kiddos, finding a new routine and community, and now preparing for yet another move in just a few months. During this busy season, I took a little break from CLP, but I couldn’t stop reminiscing about this beautiful session from December 2023.

This particular wedding holds a special place in my heart—not only was it one of my favorite types of celebrations (small and intimate), but it was also for one of my best friends. It was such a joy to capture their day, and I wanted to officially share why I’ve fallen in love with photographing micro-weddings.

Oh hey 👋🏻 Not me posting a session 6 months after it happened 🫣😂 I guess time flies when you’re a circus ring leader. Anywho, back in November I got to go with Tom to a tanker’s conference in Dallas and while we were there I got to spend some sweet time with our friends Jon & Charlotte Hughes and their sweet kiddos! Even better was starting off the session with a surprise pregnancy announcement from Charlotte! We met this family in Germany and I’m so grateful for a friendship that always picks up where we left off. ❤️

There’s always controversy on whether or not we should thank active duty military on Veteran’s Day, but in my eyes if you’ve served in the past or you’re serving currently— you deserve the biggest 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 in the world. 𝘼𝙣 𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙣. Yes Miles is a twin, but he was baby A and let me tell you— this kid fills the shoes of every stereotype you’ve ever heard about the second born child. He is fearless, fiery, and I’m convinced that 1) I’ll be picking him up from the principal’s office very frequently and 2) he loves me so much he will have to kill me later in life. Jk about number 2, but this kid really does love so hard and his intense cuddles surely make up for his temper tantrums. He keeps me on my toes but he’s the most lovable turkey I’ve ever met. I love you, Miles Theodore, and I’m honored to be the one to put out your fires. 😘🔥🦃

Kids these days are different….I didn’t have to tell this beauty how to pose or anything, she knew exactly what to do and made my job way too easy. I had never done senior portraits at night before so I was pumped when asked me to do these for her sweet daughter, Gabby! And bonus: there was train car scaling that took place. Oh, to be young again. 🙃
