Over the last few years, people have asked and noticed that I haven’t been as active in photography or pursuing it the way I once did.
This season of life has looked different. I’ve been focused on being present at home with Justin, while also pouring into my full-time career in HR, which I tend to keep pretty private. It’s been full and meaningful, but photography has still been heavy on my heart.
Recently, Justin encouraged me to pick the camera back up, not just for the art, but for the community that comes with it.
I also have a clearer vision of where I’d love to grow creatively, including business branding, fashion, weddings and elopements, and portraits.
I’ve realized how easy it is to fall into comparison and pull back instead of connect. But we are not meant to do life or creativity alone. We’re called to encourage one another and walk alongside each other in the gifts God has given us.
As we prepare to welcome our first baby 🤍, I feel called to step back into this space with intention, while still keeping my family first.
So I want to put this out there. I would love to start a local photography connect group. A space to gather in community, share, support one another, pray together, and simply be.
My hope is to host a first, simple meet-up at Refined Coffee — July 18 at 10 AM. No pressure at all. If one person comes, amazing. If not, that’s okay too. I trust the right people will.
If this speaks to you, send me a message so I can keep track of interest and start a group chat. Let’s build something rooted in faith, encouragement, and community 🤍
