When you message me and ask, “What should we wear to family photos?”

I’m going to give you basic rules to follow…

• no neon
• no busy prints
• no words or number
• skip the matchy matchy
• stick to muted tones
• pick a family color palette and run with it

I may even send you a few quick Pinterest grabs so you can see what I mean.

But…in the end all rules are meant to be broken.

We break all my rules every year for our own family photos. Once my kiddo said, “I’ll never wear that again.” as we were buying his family photos outfit and it hit me….

I want beautiful photos of my family….but I want them to look like my family.

So we often break ‘the perfect family photo’ rules.

I’ll give you all the suggestions you want…but always feel free to be you at your session. 🖤🖤🖤
