I think waiting for these scans might have been the most excruciating wait of my life but, wheeeeweeee, are they worth every second I sat at my computer refreshing my email.

A little teaser of Chelsea and Jack that I just couldn’t wait to share because I’m like a child on Christmas right now that just ripped open the toy she wanted most.

But that’s because i was too busy absolutely crushing the photos to even think about pulling my phone out.

In celebration of Fall 2026 submission day, here’s a look at the first ever print edition of Heartful Magazine the Spring 2026 edition. I’ve said it before but finding Heartful was like finding home in a cozy little corner in the internet. A place where people who share the same hopes, intentions, and visions for family photography that I have. A place to find inspiration. And a place to honor and celebrate each other. I’m so grateful for Brooke Schultz - Creativity 🌟 for so many reasons but especially her creation of Heartful Magazine. It has been everything I’ve needed.

Cheers to all the photographers submitting their work to the fall issue. I can’t wait to see all the magic that makes it in.

If you ever worry that I haven’t shared your photos because I must not like them, just know that I am a whole year late to sharing my best friends wedding day… so… it’s really not you. It’s me and my weird habit of hoarding photos I love with a side of analysis paralysis.

Photographing this day for Kayla and Nate was one of the highest honors I’ve ever had. Anyone who knows Kayla knows how much her great grandma aka Big G means to her. So when she found out that G was nearing the end of her time with us on this earth, we threw together an impromptu backyard wedding to ensure that Big G could be there to share the special moment with them.

This day is such an important reminder that it’s not about what your wedding day looks like, where you bought your dress, or what flavor the cake is, it’s about declaring your love, committing to a life together, and who is there to celebrate it all with you.

Happy first official anniversary Kayla, Nate, and Max 🤍 I can’t wait to honor and celebrate your love again in an even bigger way in just a few short months.

Absolutely loved doing this in-home maternity session with Chasidi and Roman just a few weeks before their beautiful baby boy arrived. A few soft moments of what life looked like while it was just the two of them. Dreaming of and preparing for change.
