The First Look | Chapter 2

There are two moments of any wedding day that are guaranteed to be the most memorable. One of them is the first look, the other is the ceremony. Sara & Matt’s first look was one I will remember for a long time. Matt’s nerves and excitement to see his bride were with his heart on his sleeve, and Sara was so eager to see her groom the girl almost forgot her veil.
The genuine *awe* and almost disbelief on Matt’s face when he turned to see Sara was so evident, he may have well won the lottery (he did 🤍).
“But I don’t want to do a first look because I want that big emotional moment to happen at our ceremony! If we do a first look, our ceremony it won’t be as special” ….I talk with my couple through this fear a lot. And I can definitely make a dedicated post about this if y’all want me to! But if you need to know that your ceremony will be still be just as -if not more- special, emotional and magical AFTER your first look, I’ve included the last photo for proof that it will be.

SARA & MATT IN MEXICO : Chapter 1 🏝️

So I’m going to back up to about four years ago when I met Sara who was a personal attendant for one of my brides! I clicked with her so fast and before I left the wedding that day I told her to let me know when she gets a ring on that finger cause I was going to photograph her wedding!! Well. Fast forward to last week and mission accomplished 😎
Sara- the sweet, kind hearted, hilariously funny, smart as a whip little firecracker that she is- COULD NOT have locked down a better man. Matt is truly the most upstanding human being, and compliments her in the most beautiful way.. I’m going to gush over them way more in their ceremony post (ya didn’t see it here because yes, it deserves its own 20-page post mmkay 🫸🏼😮‍💨….there will also be a dedicated first look and reception post 🤪 sue me.).
To sum up- I am so incredibly lucky to have met them. And their choice of a destination wedding In Mexico really was the perfect place to smush all of their closest family and friends together (which was a blast by the way, the pool bartenders hated to see us coming 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻)!!

ANYWAY I’ve got to save stuff to say for posts 2 & 3 so without further ado… CHEERS TO THE PELLETIERS 🥂🍾

Once upon a time I was editing wedding photos in a coffee shop (you’re shocked, I know). When this beautiful lady named Sydney came up and asked if I was a wedding photographer and if I had any opinions on a scenic style wedding venue. Of course I immediately suggested , told her how stunning she was, wished her and her fiancé luck, and we went our separate ways.
Well the universe has a funny way of pushing what’s meant for you, toward you. And Sydni popped up on my recommended friends on Facebook a week later. I messaged asking if they’d found a venue and the rest is history! Now I’m documenting their beautiful (and crazy) love story and couldn’t feel more blessed!!! These two truly do it all, they roll with the punches and thrive in life’s chaos unlike I’ve ever seen!! 👏🏼👏🏼 They are truly a force to be reckoned with and I am so happy to have a front row seat to their wild love tale ✨

I was lucky enough to fall into the coolest friend group ever when I photographed Maddie & Dallas’s wedding last summer; Ellie & Andrew were apart of their bridal party and we all had a damn blast. Not long after, Andrew (finally) popped the question, and about two weeks after that we were chatting wedding photography 😂🤍 And now I get to photograph THREE weddings for this friend group which basically means I get to have as much fun as I did at Maddie & Dallas’s all over again, AND AGAIN (hey, Zoe & Jack 😏)!! Counting my lucky stars because not only do these people know how to have a good time- but they are SUCH good people. Ellie & Andrews engagement session felt like I was just hanging with friends, aka the biggest green flag that their wedding day is going to be a *top notch* good time 🥰✨ (but I already knew that). CHEERS TO YOU TWO!!! 🥂

Elegant. Meaningful. Timeless. Intentional. Romantic. Are a few words that Are now synonymous with “Morgan & Austin’s wedding day” 🤍 ✨🕯️ From the unbelievable attention to detail that was put into EVERYTHING: Their stunning wedding arch handcrafted by Morgan’s grandmother, the chandeliers hung from the ceiling, candles floating on the walls, and sparkling lanterns hung in the trees….everything was transformed! To the tangible love that filled the room. Morgan & Austin’s private vows had both of them in tears, and the daddy daughter first look was one I won’t soon forget 🥹 SO many moments I want to share from this day, but here’s a few favorites to start 🫶🏼
