My journey into photography began in 2009, shortly after marrying my husband, Tim. What started as a simple joy in taking photos quickly grew into a passion. In 2010, I made a leap of faith and posted on Facebook that I wanted to start offering family photo sessions. Little by little, what began as a hobby blossomed into something truly special. Not originally being from Antwerp, photography has b

een a beautiful way for me to connect with the community and get to know so many wonderful people. It has given me a creative outlet and allowed me to capture countless cherished memories for my clients, moments that will be treasured for years to come. Outside of photography, I stay busy homeschooling our two boys and managing the ebb and flow of family life. Being able to create my own schedule means I get to balance being present for my family while pursuing my creative passion, a blessing I’m deeply thankful for. I specialize in Wedding and Senior photography, though I absolutely adore lifestyle newborn sessions and families. Whether you’re here to capture a milestone or simply want to preserve a moment in time, I can’t wait to help tell your story through my lens!

One of the questions I get asked ALL the time before an engagement session: Should we do one outfit or two?

And while you should always choose what feels most like you, I personally think two outfits is the sweet spot!

Start with something a little more elevated… think a flowy dress that gives us movement, softness and those romantic, effortless photos.

Then switch it up with something more casual… jeans, a cute top, maybe a cozy layer. This is perfect for the fun, laid-back poses: walking, running, piggyback rides, dancing, laughing and all those in between moments that feel like you two.

Two outfits. Two completely different vibes. One engagement gallery that tells more of your story.

And don’t worry, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Helping my couples choose outfits, locations and a session style that photographs beautifully is all part of the experience.

Posing can feel tricky—especially when you’re a beginner photographer learning how to pose seniors or working with a high school senior who isn’t comfortable in front of the camera.

Where do I put their hands? How do I create natural movement? What posing prompts should I use?

After 15+ years as a senior photographer, one of the biggest things I’ve learned is this: **movement changes everything.**

One of the best ways to create natural senior photos is to give your client something to DO instead of asking them to simply stand and pose.

Walking, turning, playing with their hair, adjusting an outfit or adding subtle movement can create authentic, visually interesting images while helping your senior loosen up, relax and feel like themselves.

And when your client feels comfortable? That’s when you capture the genuine smiles, confidence and personality that make senior pictures feel like THEM. 🤍

These are some of my favorite senior posing ideas and photography prompts that I always keep in my back pocket…simple poses designed to create beautiful, fun & whimsical senior portraits without making your client feel overly posed.
