This was from January 3rd. Took my new camera (Canon EOS R6 Mark III) and I think I'm going to like it. Weird that it's not a DSLR and is instead Mirrorless, but overall, I am impressed with the functionality of the camera. I am slowly getting back. My remodel is just about finished, and I will be back full time hitting the trails!

I determined after I broke my ankle at Celery Fields that my camera and 150-600 zoom lens must be more damaged than the surface stuff I noticed. My pictures have lost color quality and clarity. I'm super bummed, BUT decided to move to the future and bought myself a mirrorless Canon R6 Mark III! Can't wait to use it! Look for future postings!

Late morning visit to the Celery Fields last week. I wasn't feeling it. Didn't stay long. No Caracaras. Can't wait for my ankle to be healed!

Felts Preserve has decent pathways to traverse. Didn't stay too long but went to see if I could get to the blind. Made it, but not a lot going on...Several Woodpeckers and Cardinals. On the way home drove around McKay Bay (22nd St Causeway area) and saw a really pretty looking Brown Pelican

I went back to face my attacker, broken ankle and all! Visited the Celery Fields again but stayed on the boardwalk and paved sidewalk. Saw a few things, Grebe, Green Heron, Hunting Osprey, Marsh rabbit and a couple butterflies , but got there a little too late.

I was hiking the hill at The Celery Fields (9/14/25) and when I got about 30 yards from the bottom, I slid on wet muddy gravel and "sprained" my ankle.... It's a Weber-C Fracture. I'm out of commission for a while, but I finally went through my photos from my last few outings. There was nothing going on at the fields on Sunday and, of course, my visit got cut short along with my destroying my new Canon 100-400 lens🥹 This is all I got while there....
