As a photographer, I spend so much time capturing memories for other families. Moments they'll look back on years from now and cherish forever.

But every once in a while, I get to pause and appreciate my own.

Kat is only 5 years old, but she always seems to know exactly when I need her. Whenever I'm frustrated or having a rough day, she sits beside me, listens to me talk, pats my back, and says, "It's okay, Mommy."

No matter where we are, we're always looking for each other. She's my little shadow, my biggest comfort, and one of my greatest joys.

I know she won't stay little forever, which is why moments like these mean so much to me. 🩷
