Sadly, with meta glasses, this is all out of our control, but I will do my part in this little corner of the internet because mother to mother, it just feels right.
I will no longer be sharing forward facing images of children to my social media. This effort will protect their faces from being added to the piles of images that teach Ai how to build “fake” kids from the likeliness of real ones. Here is what this means:
1. With parent permission, I will only share images of children that are side-profile, back of head, or detail shots. Images where two half’s of their faces are not clear will be pulled from my galleries for social media posts; however this will be ONLY with parent permission. When you book a session, I have added a question in my client questionnaire that allows you to indicate whether you are comfortable having these types of images displayed or whether you prefer to have no face images shared, even from a side-view.
2. If there is a past post on my page that you would like removed, please send it to me in a DM and it will be archived. This will take time, based on the volume of DMs.
3. I will still invite clients to collaborate on my posts, but as always, there is zero obligation to accept and I will not be upset AT ALL if you decide not to.
4. I will alter my website, blogs, and digital footprint over the next 6 months, following busy season. This will take time and your patience is very appreciated.
5. I will no longer share media of my own children in this format, meaning less of the boys on here. I promise I’m still a relatable mom who is in the thick of it, too. Also I am still funny, dazzling and incredibly interesting, too (IRL).
6. As I have always said- yes, legally these are my images, but more importantly, they are your children. My client contract will be altered to reflect this.
