It’s a really sad world we live in when something as innocent as kids running around, laughing, playing, making memories and having their photos taken can be turned into something ugly.
But unfortunately, here we are. We live in a world where predators are more protected than the innocent.
There is absolutely nothing more important to me than my own children — and the children you trust me enough to photograph.
I’ve already slowly started pulling back from sharing kids’ sessions on my page. I’ve shared them less, I’ve been much more intentional about what I post.
Going forward, I will not be posting children’s faces on my business pages. If I share images from family sessions, they’ll be faceless — little hands, chunky feet, and parents trying to remember these details forever.
My business will never be more important than a child’s safety.
So, from this mom and photographer to all of you who trust me with your babies:
Contracts will be updated accordingly.
I will always choose their safety over content.
Their privacy over engagement.
And protecting them over an Instagram post.
