Arab High School Class of 2027 cheerleaders & their mamas. Behind every cheerleader is a mama who has burned up the roads getting to practices, tumbling classes, choreography camps, games and competitions all to cheer on and support their favorite cheerleader. In the moment, it sometimes seems exhausting and overwhelming but, then you get to their senior year and look back at how fast those years have flown by. Today we celebrate these strong, beautiful and talented cheerleaders and their amazing, selfless mamas as they soak up these final moments of their senior year.

Tonight’s game day theme hits a little differently. 💗

Pink Out isn’t just a cute theme or an excuse to add a little extra pink to Friday night. For our family, it represents some incredibly strong women—especially my stepmom Dana and her cousin Cindy, who are both currently fighting metastatic breast cancer.

Breast cancer has touched far too many women in Dana’s family, and tonight we wear pink for all of them—the fighters, the survivors, the ones still in the middle of the battle, and the ones we carry with us.

Dana and Cindy are two of the toughest women I know. Cancer may have picked the wrong family, because stubborn clearly runs strong in this bunch. 😂💗

So tonight, under those Friday night lights, we’re cheering a little louder, loving a little harder, and wearing pink with a whole lot more meaning.

For Dana. For Cindy. For every woman fighting. 🎀

Some families just hold an extra special place in my heart.

I was there as a second shooter when Mom & Dad said "I do," and since then, I've had the privilege of watching their story grow through my lens- their first maternity session, welcoming their first little miracle, another maternity session, and now... the sweetest new addition to their family.

It warms my heart looking back and realizing just how many chapters of a family's story I've been trusted to capture. From two people starting their life together this beautiful family they've created- it's truly one of my favorite parts of what I do.
