Welcome to the world, Everette Brooks

These people have waited their lifetime to love on you; you couldn't be a more perfect addition to your family.

Sweet boy, your mama has been my person for nearly two decades. We were kids when we found each other. We've been through every version of ourselves since then. The awkward years, the growing up years, the years where life pulled us in different directions and the years it brought us back. There have been moves and miles and seasons where we went too long but none of it ever mattered.

Some people just stay.

So when I got to hold my camera over you, it wasn't really work. It was watching my best friend become a mother again. It was seeing her and your daddy and your older sister and brother look at you with eyes full of pride and hearts full of love.

Everette, you will grow up knowing you were wanted. Loved before you arrived. Prayed for. Waited on.

And I hope someday you understand what a gift it was for me to be the one behind the camera for your very first days.

Thank you for letting me have this one, friend. Twenty years and you're still handing me the best parts of your life to be part of.

I love you and I love your sweet family.

One year down, a lifetime of adventure to go! Watching this little one explore, play, and just be themselves makes every milestone session such a joy.

I'm setting aside October 3rd and 4th for quick, cozy sessions with one location west of Arapahoe (exact location TBD) and one location east (think Elm Creek or Kearney). So wherever you're coming from, there's a spot close to home.
