The sibling portion of a newborn session will always have my heart.

Thereโ€™s something so sweet about watching little ones meet their newest best friend. The proud smiles, the gentle snuggles, the curious glances and the tiny hands reaching out to hold baby brother or sister for the very first time.

These are the moments that tell the beginning of a brand-new chapter - one filled with shared secrets, bedtime giggles, lifelong memories and a bond that will only deepen with age.

And while baby may not remember these first introductions, one day they'll have photographs that show just how loved they were from the very beginning.

โ˜€๏ธŽ ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž โ˜€๏ธŽ

For the next week, I'm trading gallery deliveries, emails and editing screens for something much-needed: family time.

From now through next weekend, I'll be soaking up downtime with my husband, our boys and my parents - making memories, embracing adventure and enjoying the kind of moments that remind me why photographs matter so much in the first place. As photographers, we're constantly encouraging families to be present, hold their babies a little closer and preserve this season before it slips away.

๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฌ, ๐˜ช๐˜ต'๐˜ด ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ.

Let's just say there may be a certain place involved where wishes come true, castles stand tall and a very famous mouse might make an appearance or two. More than anything, though, I'm looking forward to slowing down, staying in-the-moment and creating the kind of core memories that will live on long after the suitcases are unpacked.

I'll return to the office on ๐—๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐Ÿด. Emails and messages will likely be answered pretty quickly once I'm back Monday (6/8), though if it's urgent, feel free to send me a text.

In the meantime, I hope you're finding reasons to step into the frame, soak in the little moments and make memories worth remembering. Because if documenting your family's story is on your heart this year, I'd love to connect when I return.
