These misty rural roads near Yorkshire, NY, captured in yesterday's heavy fog, pull me in. They feel like life's big question marks. What lies ahead of the fog is unknown, like our futures yet unwritten on the roads we travel. Shot in crisp black-and-white with lots of empty space, they spotlight shiny wet pavement, lonely poles, and fading lines. These make you pause and contemplate what lies ahead in your own story. Everyday stuff turns poetic through light and shape. The big sky and barriers hint at journeys ahead. A porch or lamp becomes that one spark pulling you deeper. I want these photos to feel calm yet alive. They remind us that we never know exactly where roads and lives lead us.

Fog hides what lies ahead.
Unknown futures, roads unwrit.
Stories yet to trace.

I wanted to share this one I took on a foggy morning a few years back, especially since we were going over Pictorialism in Photographic Aesthetic Concepts class. I felt this photo fits within that aesthetic concept, and I just wanted to share it.

Hello, everyone! I have started uploading more photographs to the portfolio galleries. The Fleeting Light gallery has some images up, but I will be changing them soon to a different image format and with the new branding mark. I now have a few photographs up in Human Stories, and just one in Details and Echoes. I am debating on turning human stories into a two-part gallery, one with colors and the other strictly black and white....

I would like to announce the public soft launch of my new reimagined website. None of the galleries are up as of this moment, as I am still in the process of curating the new thematic galleries. The rest of the site is up and functional.

Over the next few weeks, as I fine-tune what images I want to post in these galleries, small tweaks and improvements will occur. So, please, pardon the dust and lack of content.

I am currently revamping the website and starting it over from scratch. Hopefully, this iteration will be more professional looking. At the moment, my attention is divided between school work and my site. I will try to squeeze in a photo of the day at some point.
