These are images of the competitors at the Versailles Invitational this week. I love getting out and seeing all these young people competing but mostly love seeing the camaraderie between them all. Not just between teammates but among all athletes no matter the team. It was a special moment I thought when the crowd and athletes joined in on cheering on the young man from Ansonia in the pole vault as he reached incredible heights. Darke County is a good community.

I was covering the Versailles Invitational tonight and really enjoyed watching this young man from Ansonia win the pole vault. Cade Shellhaas is his name I believe. I am not sure what the final height he cleared was but he was up there! This is his last successful jump of the evening. He is good at this!
