It’s in the details. Dani and my Nana made this little flower arrangement in this cup that I used to drink milk out of while “spendin” as I called it with my grandparents. It’s stories like these that make me love getting to know families and know their stories and history.

Meet my little family. A few fun facts about us…

🤍 My husband and I met in Harrisburg, PA, at the 2014 National Junior Hereford Expo (a cattle show for all my non-ag friends).
🤍 We raise cattle in South Central Oklahoma with our two girls, Dani Faye and Joie Grace.
🤍 I am the loudest and proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2014! Whoop! Ryan went to Oklahoma State University, but somehow I still love him. Bonus: Dani calls Pistol Pete “Uncle Pete”. 😂
🤍 I have a deep obsession with plants and flowers. There are big plans in the works for my cut flower garden in 2025.
🤍 I have been a photographer for almost 10 years and have mostly shot weddings. With my priorities changing and family growing, I decided to dive more into family photography on film. Check out my weddings at

Mr. Serious. 🤍 This was taken on one of my more fun and funky film cameras. Technically it’s classified as a toy camera as it’s made out of plastic, but it can produce some truly beautiful and fun photos like this one.

“Walkin’ in high cotton…”

This is an older photo of my big girl taken back where I grew up in Rising Star, Texas. My family farms and ranches in Central Texas, and this was a particularly beautiful cotton crop that my dad was super proud of.

Why film? Why go backwards in technology? Isn’t it harder? Is it really worth it? To me…. Most definitely.

There’s something magical about the nature of film. A nostalgia that I can’t quite put my finger on. And at the same time that it’s retro it’s still so classic.

As moms we run ragged most of the time. The meals, schedules, and just general care for our children can just be overwhelming somedays. Add in our profession and holy moley it gets insane.

In case you haven’t heard it today, you’re doing amazing mama. God created you specifically for your babies, and He created them specifically for this time. Even though it feels scary, His plan is better that we could ever imagine mama.
