“Why can’t you just stick to taking pretty pictures?”

I miss the days when I could just be okay with taking pretty pictures and living my life. Wouldn’t that be easier?

Unfortunately I think those days are behind me. Sure, I can still show the beauty in the world. But I can’t live a lie on social media.

My life isn’t the same. I am heartbroken daily by the injustices I see harming my fellow Americans. My neighbors. My friends. Myself.

How can I go on with “tips for your next business sesh 🫶🏼” while a US Navy sailor loses their career?

How can I smile in every reel uplifting women in business while I watch our counterparts get fired from their federal jobs and called DEI hires?

How can I encourage you to be your authentic self while my daughter’s classmate watches her hard working father get deported?

Do I still want to do this job? Of course. I loved it.

Is it ever going to be the same? No. I don’t think so. Not in my lifetime.

So I’m sorry if you don’t like my posts lately. But honestly, if you would prefer I put on a show for you on social media, you don’t belong here with me. That may be difficult to hear, but it’s the truth.

I will fight until this ends. Period.
