It was an interesting week, working with interesting women. The richness in life comes from experience. How can we inspire the young when we are still trying to look them? And how can we teach the young that to grow, to live, love, nurture, lose, gain, experience should be something we are ashamed of? Letā€™s do better as my friends like to say!

When we went around the table to introduce ourselves at our V&V event last night one of the women said - ā€œIā€™m a grad studentā€.

How cool is that?! This coming from an accomplished women that I donā€™t have enough space here to list.

This was more than being humble - it was proof that age doesnā€™t define us, we can change, shift and pivot and be students at any age.

We donā€™t have anything to prove - only to ourselves and we take all that experience and bring into what we are shaping now.

This is so cool and all of the women who attended last night always inspire me. Thank you for helpingbusbuilsthis community!

Our age is what makes us interesting. Our experiences professionally and personally are what make us unique. Donā€™t erase the lines - the information - embrace them and double down on it because the truth is we all agree and we all die. F the youth obsessed culture. Itā€™s pathetic and quite frankly boring šŸ„± All generations have their value and should be respected and celebrated.

What Iā€™ve learned working with my clients in Your Next Chapter in Focus

Personal branding work for women 40, 50+ especially when pivoting, is a process of self-discovery.

You have to go deeper to understand who you are now and where you want to go.

This next chapter isnā€™t just about starting a business, itā€™s about rebuilding from experience and stepping into something new.

You realize you have agency. You can choose how you want to live.

But that process isnā€™t light. Itā€™s personal.

What helps isnā€™t doing more, itā€™s more about simplifying and getting really clear on:

- Who you are now
- What you want
- Choosing one direction
- And then taking action (even when youā€™re scared)

Because clarity and confidence come through doing.

You donā€™t need to become someone new.
You need to reconnect with who you are now and express that in a way that feels honest and aligned.

Thatā€™s the work we do inside Your Next Chapter in Focus.

I heard an architectural expert Paul Stout talk about how texture shows time and how older buildings carry depth, wear, and history, and thatā€™s what draws us in.

And it made me think about aging, especially for women.

We gain that same kind of depth through everything weā€™ve lived through ex. our careers, relationships, challenges, growth.

But instead of embracing that, weā€™re often taught to hide it. To smooth it out so we look younger.

And in doing that, we lose some of what makes us interesting in the first place.

When it comes to personal branding after 50, I donā€™t think itā€™s about trying to be someone new.

Itā€™s about learning how to express who you are now especially with all of that depth!

Im enjoying 2026. Iā€™m exploding with gestation, excitement for what life has in store and for the community we are building. Hard work, going for it, and staying focused has been the recipe for my happiness.
