In one of my photography groups, everyone loved that I used both strobe lighting and natural light during a recent senior session. The mom requested strobe for the beginning, and we switched to natural light toward the end for her senior—and it turned out beautifully!

I honestly love working with both, but lately natural light has been the easier (and cooler!) choice. Texas heat makes dragging around lighting gear a workout 😅 and don’t get me started on the wind... I've already lost two light umbrellas to it this season! 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

Still, whatever it takes to create the look you love—I'm here for it. 💛📸

I had such a blessed time capturing senior portraits with the beautiful MacKenzie at Traphene Hickman Library in Cedar Hill. She was an absolute natural in front of the camera—graceful, kind, and full of light! 💫

I had the opportunity to do my very first sports team photoshoot last Sunday, and I’m giving all the glory to the Lord! 🙌 There were a few things I’d tweak for next time—from managing that intense Texas heat to ensuring the light hit their faces just right. I also learned I could have taken shots on the field for a better setup. But overall, I’m thrilled with how it turned out and can’t wait for more! 📸
