(specially for the one that competes), now the last thing these athletes want to have a photographer that misrepresenting their look , muscles definition and density! unfortunately I see alot of photographer now days misrepresent athlete hard work (either terrible lighting the muscles or posing angles) I get many friends ask me how to pick the right fitness photographer for their Photoshoot job, I can give you my quick tips on that: ⭕️Lighting: This is the most important part, specially for fitness photography. You want to make sure that this photographer is experienced enough with lighting (outdoor or studio lighting) it’s easy to tell , how?? look at his/her work and clients pages , does the photographer objects look well lit in photos? Do you see sharp muscles definition and density in the majority of these photos ? Do you feel that this photographer represent the athletes to their best ?⭕️Posing and angles: this is the second most important thing, you will need to find a photographer that experienced enough with posing techniques. In fitness photography, Posing and angles are everything , if your photographer doesn’t know how to pose you correctly for photos then that’s a big misrepresenting to your hard work! do your research here.⭕️How patient: Ask previous clients, how patient this photographer can be ? Would he be willing to accept you if you showed up little late or reschedule due to an emergency?? ⭕️Going the extra mile: do your research and ask previous clients, does this photographer will be willing to go the extra miles to provide the best pictures for you?!
