We’ll be out throughout the weekend documenting the people, traditions, activities, and moments that tell the story of Fall Fest, then sharing those photographs with the community as the weekend unfolds.

Introducing Hometown Stories: Spencer County Indiana, a Hanke Studios project created to celebrate the people, teams, businesses, events, traditions, and everyday moments that make our community home.

This will NOT be a breaking-news page. Hometown Stories will slow down, look closer, and share the stories behind the people and moments we encounter throughout Spencer County.

Our first feature follows Layni Litherland through her 371 days as the 2025 Dale Fall Festival Queen and introduces the Heritage Hills student-athlete behind the crown.

3 DAYS TO GO.

The 2026 Dale Fall Fest is almost here, and Hanke Studios is excited to be back documenting three full days of the people, moments, and traditions that make this weekend such a special part of our community.

We’re proud to announce Spencer County IN. Republicans as the Presenting Partner for Hanke Studios’ 2026 Dale Fall Fest coverage.

We’re also incredibly thankful to have Jimador Bar & Grill LLC with us as our Legacy Partner.

Jimador joined us the week after last year’s Dale Fall Fest, and they have been part of what we do ever since. Over the past year, they have continued to support Hanke Studios and the community coverage we work hard to provide. Having them alongside us again for Fall Fest feels especially fitting, because this is where that relationship began.

And finally we want to give a huge thank you to Jeff Bettag, owner of the Patriot Station Service Center & Cupid Transportation, for loaning Hanke Studios one of his beautiful golf carts to get around Dale during the fest!

Support from our Community Partners helps us continue documenting, promoting, and celebrating the people and events that make our community what it is.

Now that is a Dale Fall Fest ride!

A huge thank you to our friend Jeffrey Bettag, owner of Patriot Station Service Center and Cupid Transportation, for loaning Hanke Studios this beautiful golf cart for the 2026 Dale Fall Fest.

Sarah and I will be moving all over Dale to cover the events, activities, and people who make the festival special. Having this cart will make a tremendous difference in helping us carry our gear, move between locations, and capture as much as possible throughout the week.

It could not fit this year’s “Stars & Stripes, Small Town Nights” theme any better!

Jeff has been a constant supporter of Hanke Studios’ work and our wonderful community. He is always willing to step up and help, and we are incredibly grateful to have him in our corner.

Thank you, Jeff! We’ll put it to good use this week!

The brilliant minds behind the Dale Fall Fest gathered this afternoon to go over final preparations for the 58th Annual celebration!

Sarah and I met with several of our fellow board members at Dale Park as the final pieces continue falling into place. These are some of the people doing the behind-the-scenes work that turns months of ideas and planning into the festival our community looks forward to each year.

Some of the rides have already arrived, and Dale Park is beginning to transform!

Today also marked the official start of Hanke Studios’ onsite coverage. We’ll be documenting the final preparations over the next few days before the 2026 Dale Fall Fest officially begins Thursday.

The park is coming to life, and Dale Fall Fest week is here!

The full 2026 Miss Dale Fall Fest Scholarship Pageant is now available on YouTube!

Relive the entire evening, from the contestants taking the stage through the crowning of Avery Peters as the 2026 Miss Dale Fall Festival.

We were proud to capture this special night as the opening event of our coverage of the 58th Annual Dale Fall Fest. We hope this video gives the contestants, their families, and our community something they can return to for years to come.

The 2026 Miss Dale Fall Fest Scholarship Pageant from a different point of view!

We placed a camera in the sound booth at Heritage Hills and let it run throughout the entire evening. Watch the auditorium fill, the contestants take the stage, and Avery Peters become the 2026 Miss Dale Fall Festival, all in fast-forward.

Sunday night’s pageant officially began our week of coverage for the 58th Annual Dale Fall Fest, and there is much more to come!

The crown has been passed, but Layni will always be our queen.

For the past year, Layni Litherland has represented the Dale Fall Fest with grace and kindness. Watching her take the stage one final time as the reigning queen was a special moment for us.

Layni is also one of our Class of 2027 Senior Ambassadors, and Sarah and I could not be prouder to have her representing Hanke Studios. We have loved getting to know her, cheering her on, and capturing this chapter of her story.

Her year as Miss Dale Fall Festival may have come to an end, but the pride we have in her has never been about a crown or title.

We are so proud of you, Layni. You will always be our queen.
