𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

Not worse. Not better. Just different. Because they're becoming someone new, on schedule, whether we document it or not.
As a former dance teacher, and a mom whose oldest already went through this exact stage, I've watched a lot of kids move through a lot of specific chapters of who they were.
Senior year is its own chapter. Not just an older version of who they were at 14.
Here's the fear under the fear parents rarely say out loud: it's not the cost. It's that the photos will feel fake.
Same five poses. Same forced smile. A technically fine photo of a kid who happens to be your senior.
That's not what this needs to be.
Give it time, give it more than one location, and let your senior actually be themselves in front of the camera.
That's the version worth keeping.

That includes your senior's session, if you let it just sit in a gallery.
21% of adults have never printed a single digital photo. Ever.
Not "haven't printed this one." Never printed one, period.
I spent 20 years at a photo lab before I ever picked up a camera professionally.
I've watched thousands of galleries roll through that lab.
The ones people still love five years later were the ones somebody actually printed.
Here's the wild part: almost half of people say a printed photo feels more like a real memory than the file ever did.
I'll be honest, I'm a pretty normal person about this myself. If I don't print something right away, it usually just doesn't get done.
That's not a flaw. It's just how digital photos work, for all of us.
Your senior's gallery deserves better than a bookmark you never click again.
When's the last time you actually looked at photos from last year, not just scrolled past the thumbnail?
