Jan Christian Photography I am what most people would call a diehard DIY enthusiast. I observe and question everything and anything around me. That all changed when I got my first SLR.

The more intricate something is, the more I seem to be attracted to it. To put it simply, I never set out to become a photographer. I always appreciated the skill and ingenuity involved in photography, but apart from the usual snapshots, I never tried my hand at it. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was not just a transient yearning for a new toy. I was hooked, and the rest is history.

Happy Veterans Day!

If any of your friends or family are veterans, give them a call and let them know you care, especially if you haven't talked in a while. I'm thankful that my grandfather is still with us. His company and stories are priceless. I don't get to see him nearly as much as I'd like to, unfortunately. The Greatest Generation wont be with us forever so don't take this time for granted. He served in the Pacific Theater in WWII (with Jonathan Winters, the famous actor/comedian). This photo of them was taken in Trinidad, and Winters is in the front row, center, with my grandpop crouching behind him
