The summer reading program kick off was this weekend at the Armada Free Public Library. It's the first time that they've had an event like this. There was a wonderful turn out and the kids seemed to have a blast! The middle school and high school robotics teams were there for a demonstration, a bounce house, face painting, balloon artist, popcorn, Dino plushies and masks, stickers....

-Teens meet weekly on Tuesdays at 2 pm.
-Preschool meets weekly on Wednesdays at 10:30.
-Elementary school aged kids meet Thursdays at 2 pm.
*You do not have to have a library card to attend and attendance is not required to join the reading program.

The reading program is new and it's fantastic! No more logging books or minutes. Just log in to say that you've read that day and be entered to win a raffle! There are some wonderful prizes and adults can participate too! Gift cards to many local businesses like Vinckier Foods and Ace Hardware of Armada, Armade In MI. Amberly's Florist & Gifts, Squirreled Away Books, Strikers Entertainment Center... gift cards to MJR, Amazon, Kroger, Meijer, Marathon, CJ Barrymore, Dave and Busters, and prizes like a MEGA PASS to the Armada Fair, legos, squish mellows, crafting kits and so much more!

I read about 120 books a year and am an avid library user. There are lots of new and exciting things happening at our local library! Go in and see for yourself.

Vinny just finished his junior year at Kalamazoo College. He’s off to Virginia for the next 10 weeks. We only had him home for a week before his internship at Amazon begins. Safe travels today Booms. Troy is a 2026 senior. I've photographed all 3 of his older siblings. I cannot believe how quickly it's gone by. I met Troy's family when my sons played youth football with his older brothers. His dad was a coach and so was my husband. Troy has a wonderful family and I'm so glad that we've kept in touch. There are always lots of laughs when I see them. Congratulations Troy!

Drew is a 2026 senior. He chose a studio session featuring a couple of clothing changes and his varsity jacket. He's a football player that has committed to playing at Bowling Green next year.
