Looking for community members of Taos and the Taos greater area ,interested in creating and supporting a small scale Community Operated Farm ( COF) for food independence.

Intention, to bring together community members interested in producing their own food for their own consumption needs, not for sale.
The farm will be based on a model of voluntary time, effort, and finances necessary to create the community farm.
The mix of members will determine everything from what is being planted, to the raising of different livestock.
A small acre of land, in Taos’s agricultural Valley off of lower Ranchos is already available for immediate use this spring.

I hope and plan to start farming this coming spring!

Do you carry a map when you venture on the trails? Consider studying the area you are venturing into before your trip. Identify prominent terrain features and landmarks, identify hazards, and pre plan your route beforehand. This will prevent a lot of headaches and stress if things go wrong.
