Today is Luna’s 10th birthday, my heart is full of gratitude for this first decade of motherhood and for the opportunity to know and love this beautiful little human. We made these photos a week ago with my 4x5 camera. I had the genius idea of setting up a mirror to capture us both, as I was setting up the shot, a wind gust knocked the mirror onto the driveway and cracked into a thousand pieces (we took the shot anyway) The “Two Lunas” is a double exposure made in camera. I had a dream recently that started out awful but ended with two Lunas. The last pose laying in the grass was her idea. Thanks for collaborating with me and Happy Blue Moon Birthday Luna!
