OH FANTASTIC, I GUESS I'LL JUST TAKE OUT A LOAN TO AFFORD BREAKFAST TODAY! 🙄 I stopped by the aisle to grab a simple box of cereal, but apparently, I stumbled into a high-end luxury boutique instead of a regular supermarket. They are casually demanding $9.49 for one single box! For nearly ten bucks, these flakes better be dusted in 24-karat gold and come with a personal chef to pour the milk! My wife and I are trying to stick to a normal budget while finishing our drywall, and the store is out here trying to completely wreck our bank account over breakfast. HOW is this acceptable pricing for a basic family staple?! 🤦‍♂️ Seriously, what alternate universe are we living in right now? Would you actually pay this?

I LITERALLY CANNOT STOMACH WALKING INTO A GROCERY STORE ANYMORE! 🛑💸 I just finished an exhausting rotation as a shift lead and wanted to make some quick turkey sandwiches for my wife and me before we get back to taping and mudding the drywall at our house. But a single jar of standard mayonnaise is sitting under the fluorescent lights priced at a staggering $8.99. It is an absolute chaotic nightmare trying to buy regular groceries for a home-cooked meal without completely draining your wallet. I remember when a few bucks covered your whole basket of sandwich ingredients! HOW is this normal?? 📉 Am I completely overreacting here, or has the entire food industry completely lost its mind?

I LITERALLY CANNOT STOMACH WALKING INTO A GROCERY STORE ANYMORE! 🛑📉 I just wanted a simple salty treat to get me through the rest of the week. I see this giant pallet of Kettle Chips and the $7.49 price tag hits me like a physical punch to the gut. SEVEN AND A HALF BUCKS FOR CHIPS! It feels like an absolute chaotic dystopian nightmare where only the elite can afford to eat processed potatoes. I am just staring at these yellow bags wondering when we all agreed to this absolute madness. HOW is this normal?? 🙄 Am I completely overreacting here?

ARE WE JUST TREATING THE WAREHOUSE CLUB LIKE A GAS STATION CONVENIENCE STORE NOW?! 😡 I just swung by the drink aisle to grab a 24-pack of Kirkland Sparkling Water for the guys helping me tape and mud the drywall this weekend, and I see THIS absolute crime scene. Someone literally ripped through the industrial plastic wrap and violently tore open a sealed cardboard box of Lemon & Lime water right in the middle of the pallet! They didn't even take the whole $11.49 case, they just dug into it like a wild raccoon trying to get a loose can! Are we just abandoning basic human decency over an eleven-dollar box of sparkling water?! HOW is this normal to just destroy a product and leave it for the rest of us?! 🤯 It is absolute chaos in these stores. Would you report this to an employee?

I’m sorry but $18.99 for butter is where I officially lost the plot.

BUTTER.

Not steak.
Not seafood.
Not some imported fancy olive oil from Italy.

Butter.

I stood there staring at the sign like maybe my eyes were broken.
Almost $20 and that’s before tax.
At this point toast at home feels like a luxury lifestyle.

I actually picked up a box… looked at the price… and put it right back like it burned me 😂

And yes I know—
“it’s grass-fed”
“it’s better quality”
“it tastes different”
I don’t care.
It’s still butter.
Maybe I’m being dramatic… but when butter starts pushing twenty bucks, we need to have a conversation.

Be honest… are you paying $18.99 for butter or walking away? 🧈💸

I AM OFFICIALLY DONE TRYING TO BE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT! 🛑💸 Pushing this cart around after a long week, and I am just staring at my items in pure disbelief. Look at this sad little haul. A mesh bag of potatoes, garlic, some organic butter, basic sandwich bread, and literally one single ribeye steak that costs $38.72! Thirty-eight bucks for a piece of meat that I still have to go home, season, and cook myself! Add in the rest of this stuff and I’m looking at over fifty dollars for a dinner that used to cost twenty bucks a couple of years ago. It is an absolute chaotic disaster trying to budget for food right now. I’m standing here looking at the crumpled receipt someone abandoned in my cart, probably crying over their own bill. HOW is this acceptable pricing for anyone?? 🙄 I feel like I'm being punished for trying to feed my family. Is this what everyone is paying for meat right now?

I LITERALLY WANT TO STAND BY THIS DELI COUNTER AND JUDGE EVERYONE WHO BUYS THIS! 😒 You've got to be absolutely kidding me with this $16.23 sticker on a totally mediocre, mass-produced rotisserie chicken. My wife and I are busting our backs mudding and taping the house renovation, and I thought grabbing a cheap deli bird would save us some time. But sixteen dollars?! I purposely dug through the entire hot case just to see if there was a mistake, but no, they all cost the exact same! They even had the nerve to add $1.24 in tax just to twist the knife. I honestly want to demand to see the manager and ask them what makes this sad little bird worth nearly twenty bucks. HOW is this normal?? 😤 Would you be petty enough to leave it right there on the counter?

I AM ABSOLUTELY LOSING MY MIND IN THE SEAFOOD SECTION RIGHT NOW! 😡 I just finished an exhausting week as a shift lead and wanted to treat my wife to a nice crab dinner at home instead of going out. I walk up to the seafood counter and see this styrofoam tray of Wild Cooked King Crab Legs sitting there for $62.75! OVER SIXTY DOLLARS! For 2.31 pounds of crab, and half of that weight is literally just unedible shell! You get maybe three bites of actual meat if you're lucky. HOW is this normal?? 🤯 I could literally take us out to a nice steakhouse where someone serves us for the price of this one plastic tray. It feels like an absolute scam to charge these luxury resort prices at a regular grocery store. Am I completely overreacting here?

I AM LITERALLY ABOUT TO SWEAR OFF SUGAR FOREVER OUT OF PURE SPITE! 🛑💸 I am standing in front of the freezer section right now and I feel physically sick looking at this. $8.49 for a pint of ice cream! I just wanted a little tub of Ben & Jerry's to enjoy on the couch tonight, but the grocery store is treating it like it's imported gold. It is an absolute chaotic nightmare trying to find a single affordable treat that doesn't completely drain your wallet. I remember when five dollars would get you an entire gallon bucket to feed a whole birthday party! Now we are paying almost ten dollars for a few bites of premium vanilla. HOW is this normal?? 📉 Is the middle class just not allowed to eat dessert anymore?

I AM ABSOLUTELY DONE BUYING BREAKFAST FOOD AT THESE HIGHWAY ROBBERY PRICES! 😡 I just walked into the warehouse store to grab a couple of basics for my wife and kids, and I am staring at this cooler full of Hormel thick-cut bacon. They want $12.99 for a single 24-ounce pack! THIRTEEN DOLLARS for a pound and a half of bacon! Half of it is literally just white fat anyway! We are out here trying to feed our families a simple Sunday breakfast, and we’re being charged premium steakhouse prices for pig fat. I could buy a whole actual meal for the price of this one plastic pack of breakfast meat! HOW is this normal?? 🤯 Are we all just quietly accepting that bacon is a luxury item now? Would you actually pay this?

SERIOUSLY, WHO IS APPROVING THESE OUTRAGEOUS APP FEES FOR EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS?? I am trying so hard to understand the logic of spending nearly a hundred dollars just to get a few plastic convenience bags delivered to my doorstep. Look at what is actually sitting on the brick porch in this photo. It’s some bags of chips, a couple of 2-liter sodas, a pint of ice cream, some energy drinks, and a stack of frozen pizza and snack boxes. There is no fine caviar here, no premium high-end delicacies—just standard convenience food resting outside next to a brown wooden door with the number 214 on the wall brick. But by the time the delivery service tacks on their convenience fees, late-night service charges, delivery fees, and taxes, your final bill jumps to a staggering $94.50! How is it normal that a tiny, routine snack run costs this much now? It feels like we are literally being penalized just for trying to get food delivered to our house so we can enjoy a quick family night. Is anyone else experiencing this absolute sticker shock with delivery apps, or would you buy this?
