Getting ready photos are undoubtedly some of my favorite photos to take out of the entire wedding day! I love hyping up both my brides and my grooms and delivering GQ and Vogue status images is always my goal.

Brides tend to get a lot of love on Instagram, and obviously they should, it’s their big day! But it’s the grooms big day too! Here are some of my favorites from Shannon and Chandler’s wedding day. I absolutely loved his classic black tux mixed with the decor of this suite. Such a fun moment.

Chelsea + Matt’s bohemian-styled wedding did NOT disappoint. From the Anthropologie-inspired es**rt wall, to the butterfly release during their first look, to the magician and glitter-infused cocktails, every single moment was laced with so much detail and intention. 🦋

Decide what your style is and run with it! Working with a planner + vendor team that really know how to bring your vision to life is key. Even if you just have a general idea, the right people will really be able to run with it and give you THE most magical and wonderful day, full of personality, life, and love.

Here’s why 👇🏼

✨ I believe in the “guest with a camera” philosophy for your wedding day. For us to feel like friends and not strangers on THE biggest day of your life — we need to HANG OUT. Apart from our Zoom calls or meeting up at a coffee shop, your engagement session is a chance for us to get to know each other and get past any pre-wedding day nervousness! Taking photos can be extremely vulnerable and nerve-wracking, but think about how much easier it can be when the person behind the camera is someone you trust and feel comfortable with!
✨ Engagement sessions are a great way for me to learn your vibe, what angles you do/don’t like, and learn more about you + your love! Capturing your love story is literally my job… but just like point #1, I believe I need to know your love story so I can capture it in its entirety.
✨ Plain and simple: y’all need save the date photos and other images to blast all over your social media until your wedding day 😉 It just makes sense, right?
✨ And on a final, more sentimental note… I just think it’s really special to be able to capture a very unique time in your life. I’m positive you’ll have plenty of photos of you + your partner married, as well as thousands of images of you guys pre-engagement. But how many photos will you have during your engagement? It’s a deeply special yet such a short time in your life. Let’s give you something to hold on to from it.

HI! Wow, it has been a minute. Somewhere in between travel, Christmas fun, alllll the mini sessions, and engagement sessions I forgot I had an Instagram account to share all of the aforementioned fun 😅

It’s been such a crazy month but it was SO much fun. However I won’t lie I’m so happy things are slowing down for a few months before wedding season starts up again :) I’m excited to create my vision board for 2024, refresh and reset, and lowkey hibernate for the next few weeks lol

Side note: Here are some fun sneaks from K + S’s Union Station engagement session! These two were honestly a BLAST. We laughed a lot… they’re just so sweet and so much fun, and I can’t wait to share more from their shoot. 🤍
