We were at Stafford Motor Speedway for the GAF Roofing Modified Masters 80-lap feature yesterday and Ron Silk was your big winner. Robert Bloxsom, III won the GAF Roofing Modified Masters SK Light King of the Crate Feature. Stafford proved that they can pull off a mid-week race with good car counts and a good crowd. The SKL modifieds started 34 cars and the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series started 27 cars as Eric Goodale was unable the start. The day started out cloudy as the Canadian fires affected the view, especially earlier in the day We have our photos up on our site. I'm not posting these because you all love the Trucks. I'm posting these because of an element in the background (John Fitch BLVD) on the race way. Please check out John Fitch (racing driver) on Wikipedia. The guy is one of my personal hero's. In WWII he shot down a German ME262, ended up being a prisoner, then drove for Mercedes 6 years later. When I talked to him in 2009 at Lime Rock Park, he was ever humble, saying he got lucky to have shot down the German jet. I've included a photo of John and I in 2009. What an incredible life this man lived. We need a movie ... !!!
