Hello. I’m Jessica, the owner.

Many of you have followed The BlackHorse Farm for years. You have celebrated weddings, birthdays, Christmas traditions and some of life’s happiest moments with us. You have watched my children, Luca and Buddy, grow up here—running through the barn, helping with events and turning this farm into a place filled with so many precious memories.

What many of you do not know is that both Luca and Buddy have been diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, commonly called RP.

RP is a rare inherited eye disease that progressively damages the retina and causes extreme vision loss and blindness. Right now, there is no cure. As their mother, hearing that both of my children have a disease that threatens their sight and alters their futures was one of the darkest moments of my life.

But darkness will not have the final word in their story.

We created Bringers of Light- Luca and Buddy Adkins- Cure Retinitis Pigmentosa to raise awareness, support research and fight for a future in which Luca, Buddy and other children like them do not have to lose their vision. We are holding tightly to hope, to our faith and to the promise that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

On Saturday, September 19, we are hosting a fundraiser dinner at Buddy's Clubhouse Grill at Diamond Links Golf Course, and we would be incredibly grateful to have our BlackHorse Farm friends and followers join us.

You do not have to be a golfer or attend the tournament. Just bring your family, enjoy dinner and stand beside two children who mean more to us than words could ever express.

Every ticket, every prayer and every shared post reminds Luca and Buddy that they are surrounded by people willing to help carry this fight with them.

Tickets may be purchased online or at the door, although online purchases are greatly appreciated so we can prepare enough food. Tickets are nonrefundable.
