Samantha & Nic 🥹🤎
When Samantha first reached out to me, she told me she wanted their maternity session to take place somewhere that was meaningful to both of them. She wanted a little bit of beach, a little bit of trees, and really just a little bit of everything. And boy oh boy, did this place NOT disappoint! 😍
But as beautiful as the location was, I think my favorite part of this entire session was getting to know these two. Hearing their stories, learning about their families, the things they’ve been through, the things they’ve overcome, and getting to share in just a little piece of their lives.
I’ve always said that I don’t want my clients to leave a session feeling like they just hired some photographer to take their pictures. I want them to leave feeling like we’re family. But what I don’t think I say enough is that I want to leave feeling the exact same way about them.. And some sessions just have a way of doing that. This was absolutely one of them. 🤎
The love these two have for each other and their little family is so incredibly evident. Even my little assistant Arabella said, “Wow, that is one lucky baby. They’re going to be amazing parents to him.” 🥹 And after spending the evening with them, I couldn’t agree more. This sweet boy is already so loved!
After delivering their gallery, Samantha took the time to message me just to tell me how obsessed she was with their photos. And I don’t think clients always realize just how much those little messages mean to us photographers. Of course I want you to love your photos, that’s the whole point! But knowing that something I created means as much to you as it does to me? Like Gosh, I don’t even have the words. 🥹
Samantha & Nic, thank you for letting me into your world for an evening, for sharing your stories with me, for all the laughs, and most importantly, for trusting me to tell this part of your family’s story. I am so incredibly grateful our paths crossed, and I cannot wait to meet that sweet baby boy!
