Woodland fairytale treehouse microwedding…check!

Mercedes is a very talented photographer herself and it’s always such a compliment being invited to photograph for other creatives! She and Quinn are about as laid back as they come and when the bottom fell out during couples portraits they completely trusted the process and we just kept it moving. It was such a wonderful day!

Some tid bits from the funnest elopement with Mason and Nicki! I did their engagement sesh and a while back and was invited along with them to the courthouse and downtown Marietta before they headed off to Canada. So damn excited for them! Always have such a blast with these two!!

Another day, another overshare because I’m always obsessed with my clients and their galleries and can never pick just a couple photos to share. 🥹

I love this location and I shoot here pretty often, but this is the first time I ventured to the lake to shoot and it was SO worth it! I love trying out different spots to try to allow for some variety in your gallery. Rachel has THE cutest style and I was a huge fan of the outfit choices. These tones and the color scheme? *chefs kiss*

Montaluce never disappoints, but especially not with fog. As is the case with many summer evenings, scattered thunderstorms were in the forecast. We chanced it, and while it poured the entire drive there and the entire drive back home, it cleared up for our session and we were not only given the moodiest fog, but also a little rainbow for a short time. Photography has taught me a lot as someone who is a little bit of a control freak because truly, despite knowing your settings and exposure triangle like the back of your hand, having years of experience in prompting, etc. so much of it (like the weather) is out of our control. When you let go a little bit and lean into it, you’re very often rewarded. It certainly helped that Bella & Jeff were cute as heck together! Another great engagement season leading up to what I know will be a wonderful wedding!! 😄

From engagement sessions to weddings to maternity sessions…part of what makes my job so fulfilling is getting to experience stages of life with folks. Jasmine & Jake are certainly going to make an adorable little man, no doubt about it!!

Lindsay & Jason on digital & 35mm

What a fun day!! So many firsts for me with this wedding: a guest list full of circus performers and witnessing someone drilling a nail into their nose, a barefooted groom, a thumb war during ceremony, etc. and honestly if you know me, you know I used to spin fire and be into performing myself, so I felt right at home with such an awesome group of folks. We had fun playing with whips towards the end of the night! Lindsay and Jason had their wedding on the summer solstice and we got a sunset that lasted for ages, followed by Jason sawing up the alter (that he made by hand, mind you) and letting everyone throw a piece into the fire. It was such a special, organic day that they really made their own. Congrats to Lindsay and Jason!!
