A moment for the reception 🤍

This is when the party really begins. All the people you love are actually here, together in one place, and now it’s time to relax, have fun, and celebrate together. One of my favorite parts of receptions is watching guests enjoy the experience the couple has created for them. At Belle & Abe’s wedding, everyone enjoyed the live music provided by Emerald Empire Band — it kept them on the dancefloor all night long. That’s the mark of a good reception. Two newlyweds making memories with their favorite people.

Clara made such an elegant, classy bride. 🤍 Her family transformed their private residence into the perfect venue for everyone to celebrate her & Jose! This day was such a beautiful representation not just of their love, but also of how loved they are by their friends and family! And a perk of getting married on your own property? You can invite everyone to jump in the pool for your send-off. The best way to end a day like this one. 💗

As their first anniversary approaches, I’ve been reminiscing on Savannah + Evan’s big day — all the emotions, the perfect timeless ‘something blue’ design, and the special touches that made it uniquely theirs.

So many happy tears were shed on this one! It’s so evident that these two truly and deeply love each other. They both cried during their first look and private vows, then again when Savannah walked down the aisle. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, myself included. 🥹

And then there were the personal design elements! Savannah had a yellow butterfly embroidered into her veil in honor of her late grandmother. And then a real yellow butterfly made an appearance during portraits, too. 🦋 She also told me she wanted a big bow on the back of her dress because her mom had one on hers! How precious is that?

Then it was time to celebrate! They swapped the traditional cocktail bar for their personal favorite: root b**r floats. And when it came time to cut the cake, they made room for a subtle nod to their shared love of Disney — they asked their baker to hide a Mickey somewhere on the cake for them to find! See if you can spot it in the photos.

After spending the evening tearing up the dancefloor with all their favorite people, they had the sweetest bubble send-off! All in all, a perfect day if you ask me. 🩵

A summer sailboat engagement session I think I’ll never stop daydreaming about. Ava said sailboat engagement photos had been a dream of hers for a while, and I’m so happy I got to help make it come true. This not only made for great photos, but it was such a fun experience getting to sail around during golden hour! To top it all off, she brought the cutest custom life preserver inspired by her favorite movie, The Parent Trap! I absolutely loved photographing her and Ryan, and I cannot wait for their wedding next year! 🩵⛵️

I love when a wedding feels like a true reflection of the couple.

Riann and Chris did this so well, weaving their story into the design of their day. Just like their personalities & relationship, their wedding blended English luxury charm and US southern class. A European-style venue in East Tennessee, the Woodlands set the tone perfectly. Instead of a cocktail hour, they treated their guests to an afternooon tea to honor Chris’s English roots.

But my favorite part was when they danced to “Home” at the end of the night — the song they used to listen to after traveling overseas just to spend time together. Hearing “home is wherever I’m with you” and knowing they lived those words while they were oceans apart? 😭

The long distance days are over now, and their day was so beautifully honored not just their marriage, but their two worlds blending into one. 🩵
