If you were on a paddleboat on the Tidal Basin this day... no you weren't 🫶

The most common question I receive at the end of a session is: "when will we receive our gallery?" and trust me - I want YOU to have your gallery more than you want your own LOL, especially when I just KNOW the session was fire. BUT - I also want to deliver exceptional work.

My current TAT is 10-14 business days and that is because I am working hard to not only edit your beautiful images (really just enhancing what is already there), but I am also working hard to remove any distractions (or in this case a paddleboat and an unsightly, muddy crack in the ground under my couple)

That being said... another gallery is arriving in a beautiful clients inbox this morning!!

Okay but… can someone say ⚡️whiplash⚡️?! 😅

Since my last big update, we were full speed ahead preparing to move our family back home to Alabama at the beginning of May… annnnd plot twist - we’ve officially been delayed!

Honestly, this is what happens when a military family tries to make plans… we make them, and then the universe (or in our case, delays with a Medboard 😆) says “that’s cute.”

While delays like this can definitely be frustrating, I’m choosing to focus on the bright side - and that means I get MORE time here with all of you! 🤍

It has truly made my heart so sad having to turn some of you away thinking we were leaving so soon… but now I get to continue capturing your beautiful families + seniors here in the NOVA area for a little while longer, and that makes me SO excited!!

So if you were hoping to book a session but thought you missed your chance… this is your sign!! Reach out! ✨

Now for the *slightly* sad part - we are still moving, just a little later than expected. Instead of early summer, it’ll be later in the summer and I’ll update y’all as appropriate. So our time here is still limited!

A limited “Heirloom Package” Portrait Experience in four breathtaking locations!

This spring, I’m opening a limited number of creative sessions! These are thoughtfully planned, extended sessions created to highlight some of the most stunning outdoor locations in our area.

These are NOT free sessions, but they are being offered at a heavily discounted rate as I expand my portfolio to showcase these locations.

📸 Each session includes:

• Up to 1 hour of shoot time
• ALL of your best edited images included
• style guidance + curated inspiration

Locations:

📍 Ravens Roost Overlook - Blue Ridge Parkway

📍 Sky Meadows State Park - Delaplane, VA

📍 Great Falls Park - MD side

Selected based on location + vision, I am looking to photograph a mixture of:

maternity • couples • families • seniors

Because these are creative sessions, participants must:
• follow a provided style guide / wardrobe inspiration
• be comfortable with light posing direction using prompts
• agree to image use for portfolio, website, and promotional content

These sessions are designed to feel organic, elevated, and timeless - with movement, connection, and beautiful golden light.

🌸🌸Friendly Reminder that Cherry Blossom Minis are LIVE!

These go FAST, especially as we get closer to the season! Peak bloom typically happens late March/early April!

Let’s Chat about ✨ Newborn Sessions ✨

Q: What do I offer?

Unposed, candid, documentary lifestyle newborn sessions that focus on prioritizing genuine connections and interactions between you and your sweet babe.

These sessions involve zero posing to better focus on baby in their natural state, capturing genuine interactions using natural lighting in familiar surroundings.

Images will be candid in nature rather than posing baby or wrapping them.

Q: When can a newborn session be done?

Since there is no wrapping or posing involved, these sessions allow for much more flexibility in scheduling and can be done up to 12 weeks old depending on the desired look and baby’s development.

If you want to capture babes teeny tiny features with more sleepy faces, 7-14 days (or the “early days”) would be the timeframe you would want to schedule for.

Firs time mama and would like to rest and recover more before our session? No problem!
2-4 weeks is a great timeframe for a lifestyle newborn session. Babe is still super small and snuggly, but you’ve had more time to settle in and catch your breath. We will still be able to capture those sweet early moments like babes little yawns and tiny fingers wrapping around yours.

Looking for a more personality filled session? 6-12 weeks is a great time to do this. Babe will be more awake and more interested in the world around them. I personally love “older newborn” sessions because you can still capture all those precious details like you would in an earlier session (tiny feet, wrapped fingers, little lips), but in an older newborn we can capture more interactions between you and babe, sweet expressions, a yawn or 2, and maybe even a smile.

Ultimately, the choice is up to you.

This GORGEOUS session was done when this sweet little one was around 3 weeks 😍😍

3 different seasons giving 3 different vibes, but one thing can be said about all of them: THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Capturing couples is something I love to do, which is why at the end of a session I always pull mom & dad to the side to give them their moment. They deserve images that showcase their love for each other!

And what better to also share that my $100 special for couples is open for booking NOW!!

Use this for anything: a fun date night to capture the love you have for each other, engagement photos, announce a pregnancy or gender reveal, or maternity!

Important thing to note: this is for couples ONLY. Dont worry, Kiddos can come to the session and run around while you and your sig. O take the spotlight if you don’t/can’t get a sitter 🙂
