Beginning November 27th in Knoxville, Tennessee…you can ride the “Christmas Lantern Express” aboard the Three River Rambler for one of the most magical experiences of the year here in the Volunteer State! This festive two-hour train ride is filled with Christmas decorations, holiday treats, storytelling, and a special visit from Santa. During the trip, you can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and gingerbread men while local celebrity readers share The Christmas Lantern by Karen C. Bishop. Riders can also visit the covered open-air car for views along the route, and mounted heaters are used on colder days. The train departs from the Three Rivers Rambler Depot at 2560 University Commons Way in Knoxville, with free parking beside the depot. Boarding begins 20 minutes before departure, so plan to arrive early for check-in. The Christmas Lantern Express runs November 27–29 and on select dates throughout December through December 23. Tickets are $60 for adults, $55 for seniors, $40 for children ages 5–13, $20 for toddlers ages 2–4, and free for infants under 2. Concessions are also available for purchase onboard.
