I had my first complimentary maternity session over the weekend and it filled my heart with so much joy to meet Brittany and her husband, learn more about their story, and capture this special moment in time for them.

Brittany went through three losses, 6 rounds of IVF, and is now carrying their beautiful baby girl, Leila. Her story is nothing short of inspiring and it was an honor to do this for them.

She hadn’t even thought about doing a maternity session because of all of the loss she has suffered, but was grateful for the chance to have these memories saved, and I’m so grateful to get to be the one who took them🤍

All women that go through infertility really are warriors, and while I’m not necessarily happy to be one of them, I’m glad this journey has given me the chance to meet other strong women that know what it’s like💕

Ever since realizing infertility was going to be a part of my story back in March of this year, I’ve been yearning to find ways to connect with, support, and fight for other women going through the same struggle.

The toll infertility takes on your life is unmeasurable. Emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially. In the United States most fertility treatment is not covered by insurance. Women will spend more on just one round of treatment just fighting for a chance to have a baby than the average couple spends the first year after having a child. I’ve seen women who say they’ve taken out loans, spent their life savings, or, simply can’t even afford to try.

So while it’s a small thing, I thought how can I use the skills I already have to help these women? So starting October 2023 I’m so happy to be offering free maternity sessions for women and couples who have gone through fertility treatment in an effort to conceive. I want to relieve one financial burden for you because I know you’ve already spent so much. I want to celebrate with you the fact that you’ve come out the other side of this to serve as hope for the rest of us, and I’m so looking forward to meeting you🤍
