If Pinterest has taught me anything, it’s that there are approximately 4,837 back-to-school traditions you could start this year.

Personally…I don’t need 4,837 more things on my to-do list.

I like collecting ideas, though.

That’s how this list came together. Seven simple traditions, with the hope that maybe one of them feels like your family, too.

Because nobody needs seven new traditions the week school starts. One is plenty. 🤍

I’ve been thinking about these two photos a lot lately.

The first was taken on a beach in Destin, Florida. A mother carrying her unborn child.

The second was taken in the exact same location the very next evening. A beautiful young woman with Down syndrome celebrating her senior year.

One was still in the womb.

One was preparing for adulthood.

Both are equally valuable.

Both bear the image of God.

Both are worthy of love, dignity, protection, and life.

The value of a human life is not determined by ability, health, independence, intelligence, or the circumstances surrounding their conception.

Every child in the womb is a human being. And every human being is worthy of life.

The difference between these two photographs is about eighteen years. Not value.🤍

Calling all moms of Pre-K and Kindergarten grads! This one is for you! Now booking the cutest cap and gown minis!

My daughter is graduating kindergarten this year (cue the tears 🥲), and I knew I wanted cap and gown photos of her.

You know, the kind I can pull out 12 years from now and place next to her senior portraits… and wonder how in the world we got there so fast!

And once I had that thought, I knew I couldn’t keep it to myself.

Because if you’re in this season too, you get it. This isn’t just a “cute photo op.” It’s one of those special milestones with no option for a redo if you miss it.

So I created an opportunity to offer these photos for other moms who want to hold onto this stage just a little longer.

Here are the details for the Pre-K and Kindergarten Cap & Gown Minis!

DATE: Sunday, May 3rd
WHERE: Studio in Fort Oglethorpe
DETAILS: 10 minute sessions with 3 digital images included.
COST: $150

Additional Details:
Pink and blue cap & gown options will be available, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Photos will be taken on a classic white backdrop, with the option to add a colorful digital backdrop after your session.
