Rich history & architectural beauty is why Turkey should be on everyone’s travel list! Hagia Sophia, built in AD 537, was the largest Christian church of the eastern Roman Empire. In 1453, after the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Empire, it was converted into a mosque. In 1935, it was established as a museum. In 2020, it re-opened as a mosque.

The evil eye 🧿 which is common in many cultures, is also traditional Turkish culture, namely the Nazar Boncuk. It’s also known as the demon eye. This amulet is said to ward off the evil eye that brings bad luck. There were many beautiful evil eye trees in Cappadocia!!

Love Valley, Cappadocia, Turkey 🇹🇷

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, it only made sense to share a picture of Love Valley in Cappadocia! Love Valley is a hidden valley with beautiful views and interesting formations to say the least! They are ancient structures that sit over a thousand meters altitude. At Love Valley, you can visit the viewpoint from above or you can trek down to the base of these huge structures!
