I grew up with the original X-Men trilogy, so of course when I saw Shawn Ashmore at Dragon Con yesterday I had to stop for a photo and autograph! His Bobby Drake/Iceman had such a fun rivalry with Pyro! I’ve been such a fan of his and his brother for years! From Smallville, to The Boys, to Iceman, he’s so cool! He couldn’t have been nicer and even retook the photo a couple times! Thank you Dragon*Con for the opportunity 🥶

My X-Men 97 cast signed poster is coming along quite nicely! I met Matthew Waterson and Ross Marquand at DragonCon yesterday to add a few more and I’ve got to say I’m extremely happy with it! They’re both so awesome! I love it 🙌

Who loves action figure photography? This Star Wars Black Series Devon Izara from Maul Shadow Lord has one of the nicest face sculpts I’ve seen in the line! No AI was used, just plain old photoshop. The figure and barrel she’s sitting on are real, and the background is actually someone’s personal Star Wars themed bar! I tried to match lighting and it came out pretty well! Who misses walking down the toy aisle at your local Walmart, Toys R Us, or KB toys and seeing these Toybiz Marvel Legends lined up on pegs? For a while you could find them at comic shops years after but even that’s getting rarer and rarer these days. The clamshell packaging, the BAF pieces beckoning you to buy the full wave, a cool comic that was thematically relevant to the figure, what more could you want on top of a dynamic figure with solid detail and articulation (for the era at least). I’d love to own a store full of 90’s and mid 2000’s throwback toys someday. What do you remember most about these toys? 👀

Lots of new(ish) Marvel Legends Secret Wars Doctor Doom figures on the shelf today, if you’re keeping up with stuff popping up. I was hoping to find the new Walmart Exclusive Avengers Doomsday Thing figure. I personally don’t need this new Doom having the older version, although the deco looks great.
