I seriously had the best day ever photographing Cj & Alyssa's beautiful wedding at The Engine Room!!! These two have the absolute SWEETEST souls and the most genuine/joy-filled love for each other, it was so so so special and such an honor being apart of their wedding! While looking back at all their photos, I was trying to choose my favorite moment from the day - I honestly think my favorite would have to be when we did their first look. Cj was SPEECHLESS when he turned around to Alyssa, seeing her in her dress for the first time. His eyes started watering and so did hers, which made everyone else watching (including me) tear up too!! It was also so bittersweet because on the walk to the first look, Alyssa was saying that just hearing his voice made her feel more calm and at ease - which that's why I LOVEEEE when my couples do first looks. You get to spend more time with each other (which in most cases - couples don't see each other until after their ceremony which usually is around evening time so you get maybe only 3-4 hours with them that day if you don't do a first look), you have wayyyyy more opportunities for photos throughout the day, AND you get to skip all the "before ceremony jitters" because you've already seen each other!!! "But what if we don't have that rush of emotion when walking down the aisle?" Y'all - every couple I've ever photographed that had a first look....still lost it when seeing their person walking down the aisle!!!! Trust me, the emotions are still there. 😍
